Move towards locked chats and open them
On the right corner you will have three dots tap on that now select secret lock option
Set the secret code and you are all done

What will happen if you forget the password to your chats?

In this case you have to authenticate by using the primary method of biometric or system password. If you have not set any recovery password then you may lose access to your chats and only get it if recovery option is provided.
